Kenyan football is mourning the death of former Harambee Stars and AFC Leopards defender Richard Madegwa.
Madegwa enjoyed a distinguished playing career before transitioning into coaching and football administration, where he continued contributing to the development of the sport in Kenya.
He later took charge of the Kenya National Deaf Futsal Team and served as an assistant coach with the Kenya U17 national team. He also held a team management role at AFC Leopards.
His contribution to Kenyan football extended beyond his playing days, with his work spanning different levels of the game and helping shape the careers of young players.
His death marks a loss to the Kenyan football fraternity, which has remembered him for his service both on and off the pitch.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊️
