Editorial Policy

NYAMBICHU MONG'ARE is committed to professional, independent and responsible journalism that serves the Kenyan public.

Accuracy – We verify information before publication and correct errors promptly.
Fairness – We seek relevant perspectives and avoid unfair treatment of individuals or groups.
Independence – Editorial decisions are made free from political or commercial interference.
Accountability – We respond to legitimate complaints and publish corrections when required.
Respect – We treat sources, subjects and audiences with dignity.

We clearly distinguish news reporting from analysis and opinion. Opinion pieces reflect the author's views.

We prefer on-the-record sources. When anonymity is granted, we explain the reason to readers where appropriate.

Through Wananchi Reporting we amplify citizen voices. Submissions are reviewed for clarity, relevance and legal risk before publication.
