Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Vice President McDonald Mariga says he sometimes pays for his own travel tickets and accommodation to support Kenya’s national teams, citing his passion and love for football.
Mariga claims the federation does not cover his expenses, forcing him to use his own money whenever he travels to support the national sides.
“Nowadays, I pay for my own tickets and accommodation to support our national teams. Because the federation won't cover my expenses, I pay my own way out of pure passion and love for football,” Mariga said.
His remarks raise questions about the financial arrangements for FKF officials supporting national teams during international assignments.
