Duane “Keffe D” Davis, 63, has been sentenced to 40 years to life in prison over the 1996 murder of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas.
Prosecutors alleged that Davis supplied the firearm and authorised his nephew, Orlando Anderson, to carry out the drive-by shooting. Tupac died six days later, aged 25.
Arrested in 2023, Davis has maintained his innocence and vowed to appeal the conviction.
Tupac’s sister, Sekyiwa Shakur, welcomed the sentence, marking a significant development in the pursuit of justice nearly three decades after the influential rapper’s death.
