Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) have arrested 14 suspects, including three serving police officers and several foreign nationals, following a raid on a warehouse in Vision Plaza Industrial Area, Nairobi.

The operation, conducted on October 1, 2026, followed a complaint filed by a US national, Alkhalifi Ibrahim Hassan, at the JKIA Police Station. According to the DCI, the raid led to the recovery of suspected counterfeit US currency, fake gold bars and materials believed to have been intended for the production of counterfeit money.
