President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, has commissioned a fleet of six new customised matatus under his 98 Sacco after the vehicles underwent extensive modifications and upgrades at a Nairobi garage.
The six nganyas were unveiled on Friday, September 18, 2026, before being blessed by pastors and driven out of the garage in a convoy. The new fleet features customised lighting, interiors and entertainment systems.
George said his investment in the matatu sector is driven partly by his long-standing passion for the industry and an aim to create employment opportunities for young people.
